Description
Asphalt plants are one of the few applications where the gas is hot, abrasive and oily at the same time. Dryer drum exhaust reaches 180–200°C, carries aggregate dust that grinds through ordinary felt, and deposits bitumen fume that blinds any media without a release surface. Aramid handles the temperature and the abrasion; a PTFE membrane handles the oil.
