GUANLIN aramid Nomex filter bags, 204°C temperature resistance, for cement kiln, asphalt mixing and steel plant baghouse dust collection.
Aramid (Nomex) needle felt filter bags for high-temperature baghouses in cement kilns, asphalt mixing plants, steel and foundry operations, rated 204°C continuous with excellent abrasion resistance and dimensional stability.
Description
Aramid fibre — known commercially as Nomex — is the workhorse media for high-temperature baghouses that also see mechanical abuse. GUANLIN aramid needle felt filter bags hold their strength at 204°C continuous service, resist the abrasion of clinker and coke dust, and maintain dimensional stability through repeated pulse cleaning cycles.
Why Choose GUANLIN Aramid Filter Bags
- 204°C continuous rating — aramid fibre handles continuous 204°C with a 240°C short-term peak, covering cement kiln, asphalt and steel applications.
- Outstanding abrasion resistance — aramid has the highest abrasion resistance of the common high-temperature media, ideal for clinker and coke dust.
- Dimensional stability — low shrinkage at temperature keeps the bag snug on the cage and prevents bag-to-bag contact.
- ≥99.9% filtration efficiency — dense needle-punched structure captures fine particulate down to 1 μm.
- Good chemical resistance — resists mild acids and hydrocarbons, suitable for kiln and dryer exhaust.
- PTFE membrane option — adds surface filtration for sub-micron capture and easier dust release.
- Custom sizing — Ø130–160 mm × 2000–6000 mm to your drawing.
- Matched high-temperature cages — stainless or silicone-coated cages supplied as a set.

Application Scenarios
Cement kiln and clinker cooler baghouses
Kiln exit gas combines 150–200°C temperature with highly abrasive clinker dust and alkaline chemistry. Aramid bags resist the abrasion that destroys polyester in weeks, while the dimensional stability keeps the bag tight on the cage through thermal cycling.
Asphalt mixing plants
Dryer drum exhaust reaches 180–200°C with oily, sticky bitumen fume. Aramid media with an optional PTFE membrane releases the oily dust cake cleanly and resists the hydrocarbon attack that degrades other media.
Steel and foundry operations
Electric arc furnace, induction furnace and ladle hoods produce hot, abrasive metallic fume. Aramid bags handle the temperature spikes and the mechanical punishment of high dust loading in these collectors.
Non-ferrous smelting and refining
Secondary aluminium and copper furnaces generate hot flue gas with fine metal oxide fume. Aramid media maintains strength where cheaper media embrittle.
Mineral processing and dryers
Rotary dryers for sand, gypsum and minerals discharge at 150–200°C with abrasive dust; aramid bags give long service life compared with polyester under the same duty.
Boiler and incinerator flue gas (moderate temperature zones)
Where gas has been quenched into the 180–200°C range, aramid bags are a cost-effective alternative to PPS while offering better abrasion resistance.

Applicable Working Conditions

FAQ
Q1. What is the difference between aramid and Nomex?
Nomex is a brand name for meta-aramid fibre; both terms describe the same media family used here.
Q2. What is the maximum continuous temperature?
204°C (399°F) continuous, 240°C short-term peak.
Q3. Is aramid better than PPS for cement kilns?
For abrasive clinker dust yes — aramid has much higher abrasion resistance. PPS is preferable where sulphur and moisture dominate instead.
Q4. Does it shrink at temperature?
Meta-aramid has low shrinkage, keeping the bag snug on the cage through thermal cycling.
Q5. Can you add a PTFE membrane?
Yes, a PTFE membrane can be laminated for surface filtration and easier cleaning.
Q6. What sizes do you supply?
Ø130–160 mm standard, lengths 2000–6000 mm, fully customisable to your drawing.
Q7. What is the MOQ and lead time?
MOQ 10 pcs, 7–15 days for standard sizes.
