Description
Galvanised cages are the default, and in most baghouses they are the right answer. In chemical plants, food plants with wash-down, coastal sites and any application with acid or chloride exposure, the zinc coating is consumed within a season and the cage begins to rust. Rust on a cage is not cosmetic: it abrades the felt from the inside and the resulting iron oxide acts as a catalyst for further corrosion.
